Day 3: Slattery (mmm!) and Manchester

Breakfast at the chocolatier cafe, Slattery!

A leisurely stroll across to the Bury famous chocolatier for bacon, Irish toast and tea (hot, of course!). After FINALLY converting the travellers cheques to pounds we made our way into Manchester for an exciting day; gardening exhibit, old library, craft centre and Roman remains...and lots and lots of steps...boy, do our legs ache...but thank you to Cody for giving a guided tour of his city. Ready for an evening of slippers, tea and a few episodes of Jeeves and Wooster.

Whose side of the garlic would you choose [Greg]?...

Day 2: Liverpool

Cody and Shannie under the largest cathedral in Europe!
Tired feet after walking mile upon mile around the city of Liverpool. Visits to the Anglican Cathedral (above), the University of Liverpool and the Catholic Cathedral - all this excitement before we even made it to the highlight of the day, the tall ship race down at the Albert Dock! Now sitting back with a nice cuppa (drink of English tea).

ALBERT DOCKS AND THE TALL SHIPS

There was a ship attached to this flag of BRAZIL!!!...
